If you are ineligible to vote but would have voted Kerry, you may vote in this poll.

------

If only Kerry voters could vote nationwide, how well would Nader do? what would a map look like?

-------

Of course, I'd vote Nader.

If I could have made someone president I would have chosen Nader over Kerry.

My guess is that a map of Kerry voters in this race would look a lot like the 2004 election, with the Deep South voting for Nader since most Kerry voters in those states are minorities and would be voting overwhelmingly against Bush...

PLEASE PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE. ARRRRGGGHHHHH!

Luckily, there is a "not vote" option, THANK GOD. In addition to not voting I would quickly purchase a one way plane ticket to Toronto.

Having two Republicans run against each other is a pretty lousy choice.

Um, so why haven't you purchased a one way plane ticket to Toronoto, seeing as Bush won?

Because I'll likely be able to vote for a good alternative to him and whoever the Republicans nominate in 2008. If it's Bush vs. Nader this country is toast.

Why would Southerners like Nader better than Kerry?

Your map shows Nader winning Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and South Carolina (which along with Utah would be the last R holdouts if the Democratic version of Ronald Reagan runs).
Your map also shows Nader NOT winning the battleground states of Iowa, Ohio, and Florida.

I think replacing Kerry with Nader would have produced a similar electoral map.

This map/scenario involved only "Kerry voters" voting. Most Kerry voters in the Deep South were black. Among those voters, Nader would beat Bush.

Oops!  In this case, I think Kerry would in all 50 states (as well as DC, of course).  Even Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and South Carolina.

I'd pick Nader, and I think most Kerry supporters would.

possibly.

but nader never has done well with the black folk.

in fact, i vaguely remember seeing some exit polls from some states in 2000, where buchanan did better among blacks than nader.

True, but with no Democrat on the ballot, Nader would do much better than Bush.
