I guess this will be handled just like we do the questioning threads for cabinet members staying on through a new term.

Heard? No but it my be advantageous for you to be. Tongue

If you mean, "Do I need a confirmation vote?" The answer is no as the quote from the Forum Affairs Reform Act spells out.

No, I read the relevant Act who quoted and I know that.
The proper question should be "Do I need to be reviewed?".

From my reading, the answer is no, but, I feel than Senate should be able to review me if it wants to, as a proof of good will, especially because I noticed I was appointed to it while I saw than the Senate wanting to hear me.

However, if I ever get to manage an election, I will obviously strictly follow the Laws and Acts of the Republic, no matter my opinion on them, as should do any Official of this Republic.

Yea I got the same interpretation. I am of the belief that it is best for the Senate's oversight to be "felt" as much as possible.

Not sure of seeing the interest of that question at all, but I suppose I have nothing better to do than answer.

It is a family meal, called bread galette. Around 12 hours before, you put a block of industrical bread dough in a glass container, with a towel on it. It unfreezes and inflates during that time.
At the time of eating, you take some dough and gives it a flat, thin and round shape. You put that in the pan (which is on the oven!) with some butter, you turn it after one side is cooked. Once both sides are cooked, you put butter and/or jam on a side and you eat it with your hands.

Interesting, no?

Mr. PPT! That is ridiculous! Can't you ask your fellow senators to stay on topic, please?

If the Senator really insists for an answer, they are both wearing their clothes too low at the waist. They look like people wanting to be hired for 18+ websites and it is inappropriate in those walls. If I'm forced to choose, the second, since the first looks angry and violent, which is not cute.

There is no PPT until one is elected. The VP seems to have gone to the same place as the 10th Senator. Now I can't reach either of them. Hence why I just "up and posted" these as I alluded to in my PM that I sent out to everyone was a possibility if things dragged out (every one except NVTownsend who somehow got left of the PM, we apologize for the inconvenience).

Also this one had a five day time window, so further delay would have been detrimental.

Oh yea, the pics! Try to keep yourself under control, Marokai, this is a Senate and not a ponographic exchange center. Tongue

Max, the Forum Affairs Reform Act is relatively vague when it comes to outlining the duties of the DSoFA. How do you anticipate you and Homely will divide the duties of Registrar General and SoFE? Have you been in touch with Homely about your role as his partner?

Honestly, I’m very confident you’ll be a great DSoFA. However, since your job will basically involve the direct maintenance of our democracy, I think it’s just important to confirm that you and Homely will have a strong working relationship.

I'll be honest.
No, I have not been in contact with Homely.
From what I hear in the hallway, he isn't very warm to the idea of having a deputy, for reasons I can understand and than I respect.

So, unless Homely says otherwise (as written in section 5.2 of FARA), I expect no divisions of the duties. I'm understanding that appointment as a substitute for Homely if he wants to run for an elective office or, for some reason, can't be there for managing an election.

At the very least, it is what I understood.

Fair enough. It's kind of unfortunate, because I think you'd be a big asset... but I guess there's not much we can really do about it. I'm not expecting the two of you will have a destructive relationship, so I guess all's well.

Under the circumstances though, it kind of begs the question as to whether it's even worth having a DSoFA on the payroll. Nothing personal, but I think it's something the senate should consider discussing.

Either way, it will be good to have you waiting in the wings for the time being. I have no other questions. I support your appointment.
