I personally like Lieberman.  I supported him early in the primaries until Clark entered the race.

Although his voice really bothers me, I do not mind him at all.

His moral values pitch really ticks me off. In the primaries, he was basically Bush-lite, and that doesn't work for me. Too religous.

I like him, but he's a bit too socially conservative.

I agree 100%.y, I like the guy, but he is just too socially conservative especially for a Dem in the northeast.

I like him. He's actually a pretty funny, laid back guy. But you can't be laid back in your campaigning style...and he was.

I don't share his zeal on some social issues, but I'd surely vote for him over Bush.  I don't think he's a DINO either.

He'd be a decent Senator if he never said anything.
If you listen to him, you'd think he's a Republican, but his voting record is not Republican.

I like Lieberman. He's a bit dull an' all that, but he seems like a nice guy.

Social conservative.  Who needs that type in the Democratic Party, especially from Connecticut?  We could certainly elect a proper social liberal from there.

Um, no. I'm a Republican, and Lieberman as president would be a true nightmare.

I dislike him for several reasons, probably not the same reasons of many Democrats.

1 he sponsored (I think) the defense of marriage act, and I think, as a Jew, he should know better than to oppress people;
2 he supports school vouchers;
3 he's so dry;
4 and my absolute favorite, he supports instituting prayer into governmental affairs, as long as it involves God and not Jesus.  (He's doing the same to atheists and agnostics as right-wing Christians are doing to us Jews!)

And what are we doing to Jews, exactly?  I really want to hear this.

Opebo... Lieberman got into the Senate by beating a socially liberal Republican.

I'm a Democrat and I'm a big supporter of Lieberman's, the reason i though he shouldn't have got the nomination were not political but largly cosmetic... somone with Edward's charisma and Lieberman's experiance and positions on the issues would have been perfect, the reason he didn't get the nomination was becuase he tended to position himself in opposition to the party rather than trying to be seen as championing its values and that is where he failed it was not his positions but rather his style and approch.
