So it means we have to keep our sh**tty death penalty, but we won't actually increase gun control? Talk about fail.

Sigh...

Probably the same deal in Oregon though we were even less likely to repeal than California. I don't think the 2013 legislature here will refer an abolition measure to the ballot if the California initiative fails. Not that they were too likely in the first place but yeah... not cool.

California really doesn't deserve it's portrayal as some kind of left utopia.

It's only the Bay Area that would count. Most of Socal...no way.

As for this, I am glad the California government gets to keep spending more money on the prison workers union. Combine this with the LA city council gifting tax money to the Mexican Mafia, just what the state needs now.

Yeah.  Even Los Angeles is reactionary as hell.

Of course I know it's a joke poll, but that doesn't mean the voters won't continue the death penalty. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that happens, with the bay area voting to get rid of the death penalty and the rest of the state negating common sense.

Of course we have to wait for a SurveyUSA or Field poll, but it's not looking very good ...

Yes, keeping a costly death penalty without actually executing anyone.

That'll teach them!

Having a death penalty or banning abortion is really where emotion triumphs reason.
