Lean, if not, Strong Romney.

I sound like a broken record, but Obama isn't winning anything McCain won.

Yeah, and PPP also says Akin leads in the Senate race...

Consider me a bit skeptical of this one. The last few polls in Missouri showed a nearly tied race. That said, Romney is the favorite to win here, obviously.

The poll is overweighted towards Republicans so it exaggerates Romney's lead, but barring the RR train derailing nationally, Missouri is safely Republican at the Presidential level this cycle.

Absolutely. If this is a part of the same Akin-McCaskill poll that was R+9, then this is probably overweighted to Republicans. Not even Geroge W. Bush carried Missouri by 10 points in either 2000 or 2004.

I also doubt Obama will carry this state.

Polls seem erratic on both sides. Maybe things will smooth out after the conventions.

Romney is also leading by a wider margin than Nixon, which I doubt is the case.

Hah, I hadn't even noticed this poll before. Compare this with the Rasmussen poll out today and you see polling has definitely gone crazy the last week or two.
