Democratic National Convention: Atlanta, Georgia
Republican National Convention: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

2020
Democratic National Convention: Miami, Florida

Why should Indianapolis host a GOP convention? Indiana is a solidly Republican state except in unusual cases like 2008, when Obama's ground game and months long state campaign combined with the political environment at the time gave him a narrow victory. The state reverted back to norm in 2010 and Obama isn't even bothering to contest it this time around. Of all the results in the 2008 presidential election, Indiana was clearly a glaring outlier. I don't see the point of hosting it there.
