I'm sure the same people here who viciously attacked Joe Miller during his run for Senate in Alaska for doing this will respond likewise toward Warren's goon.

Right?

1. Cite better sources.
2. Warren's campaign has had...disappointing elements, shall we say.

1. The video speaks for itself.
2. I will respond likewise when you cite the NY Times/CBS/NBC/ABC/CNN

Silly to blame Lizzy Warren for this. Although quite funny to see an elitist like Warren driving an SUV!

Eh, Warren frankly comes across as having soccer mom tendencies at least as much as she does ivory tower ones.

Those are all more or less reputable news sources without, at least, explicit bias, though. Not saying the Weekly Standard is the worst explicitly ideological opinion magazines get--far from it, which says more about its competition than about it--but it is an explicitly ideological opinion magazine. Do you see?

So he pushed the camera, we all know that campaigns don't care for trackers. The cameraman was not even touched. Brown must not be as safe as some say he is if this is being turned into a story.

Just because a video comes from an "idealogical magazine" doesn't automatically render it factually incorrect. Attacking the messenger and not even looking at the message smacks of intellectual desperation.

Anyways, Warren is an embarassment. Almost any semi-competent Democrat could have taken Brown out. Hell, even Coakley could have taken Brown out if she got a rematch. But at this rate, it seems Brown is going to win comfortably.

You can't tell from the video whether the cameraman was touched or not.

Regardless, it doesn't matter.

An assault does not require actually touching someone, instead it requires only that one put someone in imminent apprehension of an immediate offensive contact. (The video speaks for itself here.)

Moreover, a battery does not always require a physical touching either. Touching something closely connected to a person, like a camera, is a battery regardless if the person holding the object is touched. (The video speaks for itself here as well.)

Obviously, if Warren's campaign is hitting a rough spot, then Brown must be losing!!!!1!!!

No, seriously, campaigns make issues out of these things, which are really non-issues, because candidates like to win, and if they are already winning (like Brown is) they try to run up the margin to ensure a greater mandate and to try to prevent an upset.

Also, this sort of disrespect for journalism has been shown to be extremely harmful to candidates in 2010; consider Joe Miller's campaign (losing to a write-in) or Bob Etheridge's. And they were frontrunners. Warren is already running behind, and really can't afford for these shenanigans to become a major news story. Thankfully for her, they're happening at the right time, what with the Republican Convention and Hurricane Isaac, so more serious news may drown this out.

Yeah,

Esp. Since the said posters being critical of the Weekly Standard have held up sources from strong left-leaning sources as "legitimate".

This is a variation of the ad hominem fallacy. The video speaks for itself, unless you are willing to argue that it is faked:

Bonus: Is this one of those she's so out of touch moments that plagued Coakley?
