In chronological order for me:

1) Antonio: in Atlanta, Georgia. We spent about an hour walking around the downtown area and talking.

2) Swedish Cheese: in Lund, Sweden. We walked around Lund for about an hour and then spent the whole evening in the pub having a couple of drinks (I'll never forget Swedish prices!)

3) Kalwejt: in Warsaw, Poland. He gave me a walking tour of downtown Warsaw and we then proceeded to have a couple of Polish beers before I had to get back to the airport.

4) Grumps: in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We met at a brewery and enjoyed a couple of cold IPAs! (He isn't all that grumpy Smiley)

I met Edu in Buenos Aires, which was fun, and Ebowed outside a gay nightclub in Canberra (he was at the bar across the road), and Polnut visited Smid and I in Melbourne at our pub.

Which we're probably due to visit again this Thursday?

Just one: Met J-Mann about six or seven years ago when he was visiting the DC region.  After having a meal together at Rock Bottom in Ballston Common mall in Arlington, and talking (mostly about finding a job since I was unemployed at the time), we parted ways.

I don't know if I met anyone else when I visited Australia for the two weeks I was there last September and early October before I returned Columbus Day weekend.

First Franzl, and now Xahar in SF. We spent the whole afternoon walking around the neighborhood, having some Mexican food, visiting the Baseball field... and talking a lot.

The third place is still to take. Smiley I hope it will be for Gaël, but Ottawa is so far away... Tongue

I think I will end up meeting SJoyceFla sooner or later. I would like to meet Jake, because I go to PA every summer, but too a differant side of the state.

I was about to comment on his pending return to Melbourne. And it's been far too long since we last caught up, although much of that is my fault and my two-hour commute.

It'd be pretty neat if you, Cathcon, Sjoyce and I could meet up somewhere in like Ohio or something. Right in the middle of all of us, that'd be pretty cool Tongue

I've met quite a few on my road trips and most recently Mr Moderate on his road trip. He even got to see a live event that became a viral video. I try to let the forum know when I'm on the road, and I'm open to visitors passing through.

NoneSad  I'd sure like to meet a lot of you.

In principle this should be easy to address. Smiley

1. NUMY and I went to brunch once when he was in Lansing.
2. Afleitch when I was in Glasgow.
3. Bono when I was in Edinburgh.
4. Sir Petre when I was in London.
5. Lewis when I was in Frankfurt.

And, inshallah, soon Xahar and Akno in College Park Grin

It should indeed.  When I get back to the States, I'll map out some visiting plans.  Smiley

I feel like hanging out at your house. I'll get on my bike right now! See you sometime in mid October Wink

In all seriousness, we need to have an Atlas convention.

I met a guy who only posted here a couple of times called "cp" and watched the 2007 Outremont by-election together.

I also met DL at a couple of NDP conventions (only posts in the International Elections Forum).

And of course, I've invited a couple of friends to post, including my partner.

Phil and Assad.  I met them at CPAC, and we talked for a little bit before Phil spotted Tony Snow taking pictures with people after his speech.  And then I was able to get my picture with him, which was probably one of the best political experiences of my life.  And I owe it all to Phil. Smiley

Antonio's already mentioned that we've met. That was a lot of fun; I'd love to do it again.

Frodo mentioned that he and I met in 2005. He's a nice guy, and we had a good conversation over lunch. I've spoken to BushOK over the phone, and have a number of Atlasians on Facebook. But I'm always game to meet more in person ... top priorities would be Gramps, Torie, Afleitch, Muon2, Alcon, BRTD and Opebo. Oh, and MODU, although I don't know if he comes back around here anymore.

Two.  I had dinner with Muon2 in San Diego (I let him pick the wine), and sbane a couple of times when he was in school at UC Irvine. We watched Slum Dog Millionaire together. Smiley  I hope to meet more of you.  I am going to be in Philly again in October.
