I'm still hoping for a Ron Paul nomination. I felt so sorry watching his Convention Saturday.

It's official, my fellow Democrats, let's go win this thing for the memory of Teddy Kennedy.

Anyone else think Scott Walker looks like an annoying gopher that just won't go away?

I like how all the Governor's are talking about their success in their states and are giving Romney two mentions at best.

Santorum's talking about his grandpa's hands again.
His thick large hands. I lol'd so hard at that.

Apart from all the gay hands references, excellent speech on the part of Rick. This Santorum, the one that gave that speech the night of the Iowa Caucus, the one that gave the speech tonight, would've won Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois. If he'd have skipped all the social issues, this would've been his nominating convention.

I thought it was good but I'm pleasantly surprised at how the rest of you seem to think it was fantastic. Cheesy
He and Christie (might consider voting for him in 2016) only set the bar higher for Mitt on Thursday.

She's an awful public speaker, but she does have some funny lines. Awkward chuckle funny, not laugh funny. I think Michelle Obama gave a better speech in 2008.

The Media hyped it up as a speech where they'd attempt to "humanize" Romney. Instead she advertised him as a "Mr. Fix-It". Mrs. Romney succeeded in portraying herself as a human, but im not sure this helps Mitt much. Oh, here comes President, Governor Christie.

Good last two speeches, but this night didn't help Romney at all. Out of all the speeches tonight, Mitt's name was barely mentioned. Isn't this convention supposed to be about Romney?
The speech, according to Rachel Maddow, was 2600 words. Mitt Romney was not mentioned at all until 1800 words into the speech.
I will admit that Christie delivered a better speech than I imagined it would be.
I don't know what MSNBC was talking about. It was a good speech, not great but good. Still nowhere near as great as Obama's 2004 "Red States and Blue States" DNC Keynote. This night didn't help Romney much at all.

Are Republicans trying to rip off Obama '08 now?

I saw an old Asian lady waving a sign that said "We Can Change It, Romney-Ryan". That's just plain sad.

I think he, along with Ann Romney, Chris Christie, and Condi will outshine Romney's acceptance speech.

Ryan is hitting all the right notes exposing the horrible truth about the Obama mismanagement of the economy and healthcare.

Financial crisis to job crisis.

Housing crisis to housing crisis not corrected.

Triple A credit rating which still exists.

An administration adrift on yesterday's wind.

These past four years we have suffered no shortage of words in the White House.

What is missing is leadership in the White House.

Perfect, absolutely perfect.

Only problem is that this not new information.  Everybody has heard this before, especially people involved enough to watch the GOP Convention.

Paul "Ideas" Ryan hasn't said a single idea the Romney/Ryan administration would do.
He makes highlights of what their agenda covers, don't have to go into specific details.  Campaigning is what that's all about.  He's just reiterating what others haven't seen.
Not really, he's just saying what Obama hasn't done and talking about how much of a "Divider" Obama is and how he's out of ideas, while not giving any of theirs.
But a lot of the population is tuning in only now so this may be the first time a lot of them have heard any of this.
After 4 years, everyone has heard the attacks. It's been going on since the Stimulus passed in Februrary 2009.

What an inspiring moment. Paul Ryan - your next Vice President!!!
He's running on the ticket again in 2016? Or is Biden leaving the administration and getting replaced with Ryan? That'd really be a bipartisan gesture on the part of the Prez.

MSNBC is shameless; I don't know how these people live with themselves. FOX on its worst day doesn't even come close...
Really though, usually they'll try to show some fairness. But the last 2 days they've just ripped apart every speech. Matthews is the only one who even shows a shred of fair coverage. I wish Joe Scarborough or Michael Steele were doing the coverage.

CNN is wowed over Ryan's speech.  They're stopping just short of game changer.  Even James Carville says the Democrats should be nervous.
He made be nervous because people weren't scared of him. He seemed reasonable, and if he seemed like that to me, what did he seem like to indies? Then again, I'm more to the right of liberal Dems.
It doesn't make much of a difference, it just raises the stakes of the Romney speech. He has to do "A Thousand Points of Light". If he doesn't, muted bump.

Dude, you're probably to the right of me (and I will never understand your party affiliation. Tongue)

I thought it was a good speech, but it didn't knock my socks off. I thought Christie's was much better (or more accurately - I thought it would have been a better speech if Christie was the actual nominee).

I'm kind of an enigma. I'm the kind of Democrat that could murder a Republicam in a General, but would have a hard time getting past the primary. I'm dead center, like I've previously repeated.
Ed and Al were hilarious when they were yelling. That's why I love their shows.

This is tasteless.

And whose idea was the war in Afghanistan?
He just said no one asked the Russians about Afganistan, and tried to criticize Obama for going in there. Then he had the audacity to say Romney was for immediate withdrawal. This speech is awful.

"Mr. Obama is also a good golfer because of so much practice."
I've never understood why Republicans attack Obama for vacation days that he hasn't taken.

Did y'all here the guy screaming "No No No Don't Touch Me!" when Romney shook his hand coming up the stage? The delegates really don't like him.

What is it Mitt?

I was hoping for this.
