Marriage Revenge Initiative

Article 2, Clause 1 of the Elimination of Civil Marriage Law and Establishment of Civil Unions Act shall be amended to read:

The term "marriage" shall have no legal standing within the city, county, state, regional, or federal governments of Atlasia, nor within any law or laws nonexclusively that pertain to or deal with civil unions and divorce, adoption and emancipation of minors, except with resect to martial unions of one man and one man, or one woman and one woman.

All "marriages" contracted in the Republic of Atlasia and presently recognized as valid within federal, regional, state, city or county goverments will henceforth be defined as "civil unions" and shall maintain all the rights, powers and privileges afforded under the same, unless said "marriage" is no longer legal under the provisions of this legislation as a “civil union”. Said parties to "marriages" defined as such shall no longer be valid and legal within the Republic of Atlasia, and shall no longer retain any of the rights and privileges afforded to "civil unions" in the Republic of Atlasia, except with respect to Clause 1 and the marital union between one man and one man, and one women and one woman.[/quote]

It is indeed a typo! I can't imagine it would be considered that big of a deal for Homely to just fix it in the original post, though. I doubt people would suddenly change their minds on giving it a signature due to that.

Obviously it does not. I made it clear I supported what Marokai proposed yet Homelycooking, in his infinite wisdom, forced me to go through the monotonous task of separating quotes just to prove my allegiance to Maroaki's ideas. This forced me to waste about 10 minutes of my time, which I gladly did because I am sure Marokai would support any bills I proposed, which isn't happening btw, to show him which I actually supported. So it isn't that easy to satisfy the kid. I applaud him for his thoroughness, but I am sure his anal interpretation of the language will wane as he gets older. He is but a boy.

Well, if I had followed his (Tmth's) lead, I would have signed him up for the torture, sexual assault and pointless occupations initiatives. But he didn't indicate those in his last post.
