First off, I'd like to thank realisticidealist for giving me the link which makes the info on this thread possible.

Second off, I'm not sure how far this thread'll go given I'm currently limited to 2000 data.

Third off, Even if I had county data, which as the moment I do not, I'm not one for all that county data stuff, which I doubt is findable anyway, so whatever...

Fourth off, I currently have a link that shows third party primary results in the few states where they occured in the Year of Our Lord 2000. This includes Reform (four states), Libertarian (four states), and a couple others. For the most part, they're not that interesting due to lack of states, blandness of results (such as Libertarian party primaries where Browne won all four states). However, I hope that this can provide some new info on third party primaries. Mostly this is done out of self interest as I'd like this info for a timeline I plan on working on, but I also like it when information is catalogued, so that's why some of this stuff is going up.

2000 Reform Party Primaries:

Candidates:*
-Real Estate Magnate Donald J Trump of New York: 16,761 votes
-former member of the Missouri State Legislature George D Weber of Missouri: 9, 173 votes
-former Director of Advanced Space Programs Development for the U.S. Air Force Robert M Bowman of Florida: 4,587 votes
-former Congressman John B Anderson of Illinois: 2,689 votes
-Activist and former White House Communications Director Patrick J Buchanan of Virginia: 2,213 votes
-Former Bay County, Florida Schoolboard official Charles E Collins of Florida: 1,892 votes
-Physicist John Hagelin of Iowa: 220 votes
-Joel Gary Neuberg (Write-in): 15 votes

Primary Schedule

February 22nd, 2000:
The Michigan Primary
1. Trump- 69.54%, 2164 votes
2. Uncommitted- 30.46%, 948 votes

March 7th, 2000:**
The California Primary
1. Trump- 44.7%, 14,597 votes
2. Weber- 28.09%, 9,173 votes
3. Bowman- 14.04%, 4,587 votes
4. Anderson- 8.23%, 2,689 votes
5. Collins- 4.89%, 1,597 votes
6. Neuberg-.04%, 15 votes

The Missouri Primary
1. Buchanan- 75.17%, 2,213 votes
2. Collins- 10.02%, 295 votes
3. Hagelin- 7.47%, 220 votes
4. Uncommitted- 7.34%, 216 votes

June 6th, 2000
The Montana Primary
1. No Preference (Uncommitted)- 100%, 617 votes

August 11th, 2000
National Mail Ballot, in which Buchanan was victor. Sadly, results of the mail ballot are unavailable.*

2000 Reform Party Primary Map

Blue-Real Estate Magnate Donald Trump of New York
Red-Activist and former Whitehouse Communications Director Patrick J Buchanan of Virginia
Green-Uncommitted, No Preference

*NOTE: Not only were there primaries, but there was a nationwide mail ballot. Buchanan won this, giving him his first place victory, I guess. I don't have information for that, so these numbers are going only on the primary results which I have looked up and therefore do not include the results of the nationwide mail ballot. According to wikipedia, Buchanan came in first and Hagelin did much better. Sadly, I do not have results of the mail ballot with me as previously stated, so these can not be validated.

**NOTE: California has two different sets of results. In one, only party member votres are counted and in the other, all votes are counted. An example of the difference would be, it seems, the fact that Bush won in set one while McCain won in set two. According to wikipedia, California is counted as having been won by Bush. In the two different sets, Trump wins, but in set one, he gets around 1,000 votes while in set two he gets around 14,000 votes. Since, according to wikipedia, Trump is creditted with over 15,000 votes, I am assuming they are counting using set two. Therefore, set two will be used in this.

Don't worry my millions of fans! I'm currently back in school and thus don't have as much patience or free time as I once had, so I won't be able to work on this as much. However, I do hope to compile these things.

I was thinking about the following idea. A third party primary with all the candidates from the Libertarian, Green, Constitution and Reform parties.

At one of the websites, I was able to see some of the results for parties like the Green Party and the Libertarians. I've been so busy lately that I forgot about this project.

Just discovered the wonders of the Federal Election Commission website. If I have time in the next ten or twenty years, I may get around to doing this for 2004 (and for the rest of 2000 as well. I've still got Green, Constitution, and maybe American Independent to do).
