Now that Mitt Romney is the official Republican nominee, who are all you Ron Paul supporters out there backing now? My guess is that most of you will end up voting for Gary Johnson or Virgil Goode Jr., with scant amounts going to the other candidates.

Gary Johnson, no question. Tbh I was supporting him for the republican nomination too until it was clear he had no traction.

Gary Johnson. I do not intend to reward the GOP for their lack of respect for the rule of law in the conduct of their presidential selection process, and that's not even considering that Romney is anathema on almost all relevant issues.

You know, if we lose this election, maybe we really ought to consider working across the aisle to form a cordon sanitaire around the Paulite/Libertarian movement.

Gary Johnson, though without much enthusiasm.

Have fun allying yourself with such mainstream anti-libertarians as Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee. That ought to be the key to restoring Republican majorities, even as demographics indicate that the future of the Republican Party resembles Ron Paul more than the theocons and neocons would like to admit.

All Ron Paul supporters should be voting for Romney, otherwise, they are simply throwing their votes away.

Yeah, yeah, you're doing a great job convincing them here.

I would be throwing my vote away if I allowed myself to reward the GOP with my vote.

They'd be throwing their vote away by voting for an anti-freedom HP like Romney.

Seriously, libertarians supporting Romney because he's the "lesser of two evils" is ridiculous.  He wants to bomb Iran just as much if not more than Obama, he has actually spoken out against medical marijuana IIRC, and he opposes same-sex marriage.  And he's a massive supporter of the crusader state of Israel and it's brutalism (Obama at least seems a bit unenthusiastic).  The lesser of two evils is still evil, and by voting for Romney (or Obama) you're basically saying you're okay with the kind of crap they support.

The "lesser of two evils" fallacy is a perversion of liberal democracy (which is a perversion of democracy itself, but that's aside the point).

Not a big fan of Huckabee, but the youth vote is not necessarily a good indicator of future party voting behavior. After all, after young voters rallied behind McCarthy and propelled McGovern to victory, these same Democrats would later rally behind Mr. "Bombs in Bosnia" Clinton and Mr. "Kill List" Obama.

That's what happens when we have a society that labels certain ideologies as silly things that only immature non-"grown up" people believe in.

And you should take a remedial course in learning how to recognize sarcasm when you see it.

Well, I'm sure you can recommend me a good course you've already attended.

Republicans consider us enough of a threat they'd work with the Kenyan Muslim socialists to stop us? Must be doing something right.

When was the last time you supported a losing candidate in the GE? 1988?

2000.  I voted for Ralph Nader.  Also 1988.  Those were the only times that the guy I voted for lost.  For the record, I had no illusions about my candidate winning in either of those elections.  I knew they'd be losing candidates when I voted for them.  I can say the same thing about the January 2008 and January 2012 Iowa caucus elections.  I knew when I voted for him that Ron Paul was very unlikely to win the Republican primaries, but I also said at the time that I would be satisfied if Romney did.  I actually like Mitt Romney.  I've met him and I've met his wife.  They're okay.  And they're Mormon!  How cool is that?  Mormons don't drink, they don't smoke, they don't lie, they don't steal.  Hell, they don't even drink tea.  Not that he's the sort of guy I'd want to hang out with at a bar.  Or at a coffeeshop in Amsterdam.  I'd rather be with Bill Clinton and George W. Bush in either of those venues.  Clinton on one side rolling the doobie, and Bush on the other, cutting a line of cola.  But even if you don't agree with Romney's vision for America, the fact that he's clean as a whistle ought to count for something.  I'll admit that I made fun of him continuously during the primaries, but I'm actually stoked about his decent chance to win the GE.

Oh right, I forgot about Nader.

I'm not buying this part, in terms of whether all Mormons actually adhere faithfully to this- well maybe the part about not drinking and smoking is true.

If your guy wins I predict the economy'll continue to recover and he'll take credit for it. I think that's what gets me the most about this whole election.
