Dr. Suzuki is speaking on campus tomorrow and I plan on going to both his lectures.  He was almost voted as one of the greatest Canadians of all time, which means he is a liberal.

Looking at his website, he is a firm believer in Kyoto.  Although the man means well, I think he is on the wrong track.  Regardless, has anyone heard of this guy?  What is your opinion?  Should I go to the speech?

I have heard of him of course ;-)

Not all of the top 10 greatest Canadians were Liberal. Just look at Sir John A. Macdonald and Don Cherry.

What school do you go to? I'm at Carleton U. This year we've had Jack Layton and Vincente Fox come to lecture.

We had Layton last year.  What a nut.

I'd go see him.  I saw him when he gave a presentation here in Victoria and it was really good, even if you may not have agreed with his ideas.  He's a very smart man.

Exposure to opposing opinions is not going to kill you. Smiley

I think you'll find him a very nice and intelligent guy even if you don't agree with his politics.

Don Cherry is great.  "How can you cheer the Russians!  Don't you remember what they did in World War II!"
