Pretty big on the internet this morning: http://www.mittromney.com/news/press/2012/09/memorandum-state-race1

The best part is they think New Mexico is becoming a swing state. And in the best tradition of the Mitt Romney for president campaign, they even tell blatant lies, like this one:

The whole thing is a treat and reminds one of that Santorum campaign memo in March or thereabouts about how the delegate math still worked.

Romney is no Reagan. He should look into Dewey, they share many similarities!

Except Obama was never as unpopular as Truman, and Romney never led by a massive margin, and Romney hadn't already run a fairly decent campaign for President, and Romney was never the very popular Governor of a huge state that was considered a swing state.  But other than that, yeah.

A bad sign that they had to put this out...their internals aren't looking that great right now. Time to call Karl Rove

If the Romney campaign hired Karl Rove that would be all over the news, and give them a lot of bad press. The Obama campaign would bring it up constantly, especially whenever Romney launched a new attack.

Once again proving that Mitt Romney is a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad candidate for president.

Better luck in 2016, GOP

Rove is already deeply involved in the Romney Campaign, and his Crossroads SuperPAC is absolutely pivotal to any hope Romney has to getting elected, fig-leafs and platitudes about "non-coordination" notwithstanding.

Yes and no.  He certainly tried to be a Dewey in the primaries by saying as little as possible about the issues, but was able to recover from that and he hasn't been a Dewey in the general.

Hey, J.J., isn't a campaign saying this one of the rules of elections you talk so much about?

Bump now that J.J. has returned so that he can declare Obama the winner of the election.

I say we let Obama win this one and then give Joe Scarborough the WH in 2016 as a consolation prize for the GOP.

Except Joe Scarborough is like Joe Stalin to the Republican base. They'll probably go with a complete nut in 4 years, because Romney was "too moderate".

I have no idea why they never go with the guy that can win. He's extremely conservative. Hunstman was too. Maybe they should just start acting crazy.

Then they would suffer Romney's fate and again be described as "too moderate". It's a vicious cycle and I wouldn't be surprised if in the 2016 platform the GOP calls for the deportation of all immigrants who came to the US after 1950.

It's not happening, bro.  J. J.'s come back from greater contradictions in the past.  He's going to ignore this one with stunning professionalism.

13th September

My Dearest Agnetha,

It has now been three fortnights since the Romney campaign broke J.J.'s First Rule of Elections and conceded defeat.  Despite this confession we have heard no response from J.J. on this matter. Still, morale in the camp remains high and I hope to return home and hold you in my arms soon.

With Love,

King

He did vaguely reference my signature in another thread but I don't think he understood what its point is.
