The Mittbot living in Massachusetts was in his office.  The Mittbot in Utah was doing a radio interview.  I wonder what the Mittbot in Michigan was doing.

I don't see much of a difference from the stories.

Taking credit for the recovery of the auto industry that he didn't want to help.

...Anyway, if you guys really want to attack Mitt for failing to remember if he was first told about 9-11 by someone over the phone or by someone rushing into his office, you really need a hobby. It's a minor detail from an anecdotal story from 10 years ago. It doesn't matter.

Didn't Bush make some comment about seeing the North Tower hit on TV that day too?

They did find some amateur footage later, but none was aired on 9/11/01. The South Tower is the one that everyone saw hit.

Yes he did.  See also here: http://www.planet1337.com/stuff/flashbulb.pdf

But, more to the point, this is absolutely common and totally irrelevant.  See also this article; people were misremembering as soon as 6 months after 9/11 happened.  Although most everyone claims they remember where they were and what they were doing when the attacks happen, unless you wrote it down shortly after 9/11, you probably don't, or at least your memory has become ornamented with falsehoods over time.  (I mean, I know I certainly feel like I remember what happened, but I don't know how true my recollection is.)

Absolutely true. Human memory is deeply flawed and typically can't destinguish between what we actually did or saw at one point and what we've learned later.

Well technically he wanted to help them by not helping them until a certain set of preconditions were met. Makes sense when you are a dealing with other people's money, something Mittens would understand. Too bad for him that he can't craft written works worth a crap or this wouldn't be an issue now.

Maybe their memory sucks. I remember what I was doing.

Friend: A plane hit the World Trade Center.
He neglects to mention that the other WTC was on fire, too.
Me: A plane once hit the Empire State Building once
I go to class.
I get out of class.
Friend: Both WTC collapsed.
Then I went online and failed to load various news sites until I got confirmation.
