Also I'm pretty sure four adults can't file a single tax return together?

This^^^.

At least for tax purposes a household is anyone that is paying taxes separately, as far as I know. So a single mom with two kids would be a household. Throw in a dad and it becomes a family. I could be wrong though. I don't think four people with 60k incomes renting a house would be considered a household. And in any case if you are single and making 60k, and not living in NYC or SF, you are fairly well off.

Still....depending on how you define a middle class lifestyle Romney is kind of right. Even the Democrats don't want to raise taxes on anyone making less than 250k. Is the upper middle class not middle class?

Amazing that he could be so out of touch that he thinks that $100,000 is below middle income.

How is

"No, middle income is $200,000 to $250,000 and less," Romney responded.

that much different from

"But for the middle class, it's a rip-off. Families with children whose household income is less than $200,000 would see their taxes go up $2,000, on average." Schumer said.

Ones says 200K-250K and less, the other says $200K and less.  Seems like the same thing to me with the exception of this fuzzy $200K to 250K zone.  If that is what the Dems want to battle Romeny on ($200K vs $250K) then fine.  But anything else seems to contradict what the Dems themeslves said.

Um, Romney defined middle-class income at above $200K. That's the exact opposite of below $200K.

"Middle class" has no connection to actual median income, and never has.

Good thing Mittens was defined "middle-income" instead of "Middle Class" then.

Ah, give it up guys. Some sh!t you just can't defend...

This.  You cannot defend calling a income of a quarter of a million dollars a year "middle income."

Sweet.  Does this mean everyone who makes under $200k gets Medicaid and an EBT card?

No he is not concerned about the very poor.  They already have an adequate safety net.

He's an out-of-touch Massachusetts flip-flopper who grew up with a golden spoon in his ass.

What else would we expect to hear from him ?

No one who actual knew some poor people would say that.

Does anyone dispute that this is an out-of-context quote?
