A New County Annexation Game

A while ago there was a county annexation game that had plenty of interested plays but a non agreeable map...... I was actually rather interested in this idea so I decided why not use the standard county map for he U.S. I invite you all to join and hope this takes off. One per turn if this takes off. I hope no one minds......

The expansion of the Esteemed Kingdom of Medicine Hat is at the whim of these lords.

The Imperial Empire is ruled by Emperor Gasstavinius the MMMCCLXVIII. All power in the Imperial Empire is consolidated in his gloriousness. His subjects elect advisors and local leaders to assist his worshipness in running the Imperial Empire, however they may be dismissed at the mighty lord's discretion at any time for any reason. The Imperial Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Space Force, Battle Elephants and Flying Monkeys are all commanded by the most powerful Emperor.

I'd say we could start round 2 anytime..... as for Virginia we could just ignore the impossible tiny counties but if anyone has other suggestion's i'd be happy to hear them

Emperor Gasstavinius the MMMCCLXVIII decided that it would be in the best interest of the Imperial Empire to expand to the north of Imperial City to take Bronx County. The Bronx will be added to Imperial City and and renamed Yankeepolis. This expansion was implemented using Battle Elephants.

I'd suggest a random roll, with the first selected getting 5 picks, 2nd 4, 3rd and 4th 3, 5th and 6th 2 picks, and the rest 1 pick.

Which, obviously, sucks if you have such an awful draw like Ampere, but over a greater number of turns would equalise. More interesting than all getting 3 after three full turns.

As for Virginia, maybe we just count it as one county?

Okay. I found a great high resolution map that could work well. I've taken the liberty of hosting it at IMGNOOK.com. If we all use the same image and same hosting site, things should go swimmingly. The map is big enough to see the smaller Virginia counties, as well as those smaller counties near Manhattan.

The map only contains each of our first choices (a big sorry to the Imperial Empire on this one... If we do rolled turns, it will be best to start from one county each).
