Although Romney has vague cred to the indie/libertarian crowd, Santorum's social views are very extreme and perhaps off putting. So?

Didn't include third-parties.

Neither; and where is evidence of this supposed libertarian outreach Romney has been doing?

I simply could not choose either of these two. They are equally terrible.

I'm a little confused by the poll options.  What's with the liberal, moderate, etc options?

Obama is quite a bit more....acceptable....at least to this libertarian leaning poster.

[ideology]/[candidate]: You consider yourself [ideology] and you would vote for [candidate].

I go to the drawer, find the ole number 45, load up the magic pellets, put the glorious gold barrel to my skull, and then BLAM!  Wide scattershot everywhere, as the brain masses fall to the floor in all their glory.

So said the Mecha.

Obama is less in your face about the warmongering.

This is the only right option-I would drink a shot of bourbon and smoke a pack of ciggies or two before I did it to be more dramatic.

It's pretty clear that this topic title was only to get forum libertarians to post in here. I won't vote for either of them.

Jill Stein

And I'm a libertarian socialist... so does that allow me to be regarded as "libertarian"?  (Considering, that's who the word traditionally referred to anyway)

Not in the US context, just like I'm not regarded as "liberal" in the US context.
