Is there any evidence that actually proves the reason he killed himself and his family was due to fear of Obama being reelected?

Let's not even begin to pretend like this is a political issue of any sort. It happened to be the flavor of this man's severe mental illness. It is a terrible tragedy and shame, and nothing more.

I suggest the first person to try and spin this horrible tragedy into a 'win' for one side or another should be banned

One thing that I keep seeing reoccur that is going largely without discussion is mental illness (like the Colorado shooting - people freaked about guns, but I heard little about mental illness).  Mental illness effects a lot of people, and this kind of thing happens way too frequently - it's a serious issue in society and needs to be addressed, there's a lot of people out there who desperately need help.  It's too bad this guy couldn't manage to get the needed help Sad

Motion wholeheartedly seconded. In fact, while we're at it, I recommend we make it permanent, just to raise the bar a bit for site discourse.

This. Down here there are large public awareness campaigns and plenty of programs available for anyone in mental distress. Of course, such programs would be written off as waste in large swathes of the.country as waste. Here's a commercial for paxil instead.

That's true.  It wasn't like he lived in North Carolina or someplace like that.
