Report.

Franken (D)- 50%
Pawlenty (R)- 43%

Franken (D)- 50%
Coleman (R)- 43%

Franken (D)- 52%
Bachmann (R)- 40%

Franken (D)- 48%
Generic R- 42%

Approvals/Favorables:

Franken- 49/42
Coleman- 35/39
Pawlenty- 40/48
Bachmann- 29/59

Paulsen is probably the GOP's best guy here, though I'm sure how likely he is to take the plunge.

Honestly, looks pretty weak, if he's only at 48 vs. a generic R.

He's the favorite just based on this being Minnesota, but the Republicans could give him a good fight with any of the top three candidates.

You consider Bachmann a "top" candidate?

Lolno.

Pawlenty, Coleman, or Paulsen.

The one thing this poll shows conclusively is that Bachmann can screw this seat up for the GOP very quickly.

Well, since Franken was only elected with, 'ya know, 42%, I think he's in pretty good shape.

He's also one of those candidates, like Elizabeth Warren or Sherrod Brown, that can raise a lot of money from the DailyKos/Netroots wing of the party.

Franken is a fantastic senator (with the sole exception of SOPA, but that's understandable given his past). He fits Minnesota very, very well.

Franken can scratch off one name from the list of potential challengers. Looks like T-Paw is heading over to K-Street.

Franken began his term with high negatives due to the recount and the protracted legal battle that followed. But he worked hard and his numbers are very good.
I don't see him losing reelection even if Republicans put up their best.

Franken has disappointed me since he was elected senator, I thought he would be pretty entertaining considering his past but he has just been bland.

I like how generic republican gets closer to Frankin than Pawlenty, Bachmann, or Coleman.

I think that's the point; he wanted to be taken seriously, so he's actively trying to seem bland and clean-cut.
