Quinnipiac is probably fooling around a bit, they also had a Obama+14 Ohio poll in Oct. 2008.

But still troubling news out of OH lately for Romney ...

Very likely too pro-Obama, but these are good results for him.

"Good" is sort of an understatement, wouldn't you say? Tongue

And Quinnipiac hasn't been overly favorable to him during this cycle or anything either.

Quinnipiac nailed the FL and OH primary for Romney, so the Romney backers shouldn't really bash this company ... Tongue

This might finally put Ohio into the Lean Obama column on the RCP map.

This is what I been saying...these days its hard to defeat a sitting president unless his base abandoned him or he sang a love song to Bin Laden's dead body.

Wow... If this is true not even the debates and mediocre job reports could save Willard.

Internals are up.
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2012/09/26/us/politics/20120926-poll.html?ref=politics

The poll has Obama up 54-42 in PA.

Wow, Casey really is running much less strongly than Obama. He's only +6 on that random dude he's running against. I take great pleasure in that for some reason.

No Republicans are coming to this board... we need to lure Republicans in here by hosting a barbecue or something. Then we slip them some ruffies, lock them in the basement and force them to look at the recent polls.

Guess i can believe Ohio and Pennsylvania could at least be close to accurate, considering Washington Post poll had Romney up 8 in Ohio and even Rasmussen had a poll late last week showing Obama up 12 in Pa. But Florida is a big wow.

And if they are too optimistic for Obama, all these polls are going to step on and overshadow Romney's effort for another restart/jump start his campaign, essentially drowning out whatever message or optic he planned to use.

I doubt the polls are accurate given how tight OH and FL typically are, but there is no question in my mind that the president leads in both states.

1) The conservatives are starting to lose interest in their nominee who is running a brutal campaign.

2) The democrats and some independents are starting to warm up to the 2nd term idea.

I think most conservatives never really loved Romney anyway. Yes, they want him to win, but they probably won't mind him losing, because in the end, they don't really trust him.

And for good reasons.

Alright... I'd like a non-hack thought process on how these polls and every other national poll EXCEPT Ras and Gallup are telling the same story... basically NONE of the state polling makes sense with Ras and Gallup

Pennsylvania? Much in line with November 2008. Florida, Ohio... without corroboration by other pollsters theses would look like outliers.

Collapses late in the political season happen, and they look much like this. Florida and Ohio are the definitive swing states, and unless Mitt Romney has done some bumbling inapplicable to other states  but fiendishly applicable to Florida and Ohio, we may now be seeing a 55-45 split of the popular vote.

This is my point - the state polling and most of the national polling is suggesting this collapse, but it's not being shown to a large extent on Gallup and not at all on Ras...

First, I'm not too impressed with Quinnipiac outside of New England, New York or New Jersey (where they are top notch).

Pennsylvania? Much in line with November 2008. Florida, Ohio... without corroboration by other pollsters theses would look like outliers.

Second, they were not planning to poll PA until the last week of October; what happened?

Uh, that was PPP who said that they won't poll PA until the last week of October. Quinnipiac never said that.
