Does anyone have any insight why Colorado Hispanics are more supportive of the GOP than elsewhere?  I believe in the 2008 exit poll they were at 38% support for the GOP.

A lot of them are of Spanish (not Mexican or Central American) descent and come from families that have been there longer than most of the Anglos. They're better educated, more affluent and more assimilated.

That's a pathetic number, the GOP in CO is in shambles.

Seems like that saved Obama in CO (given that it looked like among his weakest states in polling; the final margin was quite surprising).

I don't think the GOP in CO is in shambles. The R's had the state senate for a couple years there(2011-2012.) I think the Dems just won back the state senate back right?

The R's still have 4 congressman from CO. I'm nervous that the Republicans will lose CO just like they lost political clout in California by not adjusting with the times.

I think Republicans really have to adjust this time. If they don't not only could they lose Florida, but they could lose Texas! Though that is still maybe 10-15 years away, if not longer. I really think the chances of a Reagan style landslide for the Democrats are pretty high in the next decade or two. A lot depends on how Obama's presidency goes of course, but the underlying factors are set up well for the Democrats. I think Bill could have gotten close to 60% of the vote this year. He connects well with Hispanics, Asians, Blacks, Women and working class whites. That is a formidable coalition. If the Democrats nominate a candidate that does well with working class whites, and they are able to keep the support of Asians and Hispanics, watch out for a landslide.
