Today was Todd Akin's last chance to drop out. Now that there is no chance for a GOP white knight replacing Akin, McCaskill has launched a new attack ad

http://youtu.be/uT3wcMsb8GA

It shows the legitimate rape was just one of many non popular statements.

Will the GOP and Republican SuperPacs  really stay out of this race?

lol McCaskill you sly dog you

In the GOP primary you attacked Akin (The weakest candidate) for being the most conservative knowing full well that would only help him. You wanted him to win because he has always had a tendency to say stupid things

After the rape comment you didn't attack Akin because you wanted him to stay in the race and you didn't want to force him out

Now that the last deadline has passed, you unleash the kitchen sink on him.

Wow, McCaskill probably is a much more cunning politician than she is given credit for.

The video claims that Akin said only some rapes are legitimate.  sounds like McCaskill thinks all rapes are legitimate ... which is a weird way of saying ... whatever it is she's saying.

I've always liked her. I'm glad she at least has a chance now.

Tom Jensen seems to think Akin could very well still win, and I agree with him; the undecideds skew heavily Republican. Maybe now since McCaskill is playing hardball, that will change.

Nope they are back.

Whether they are making a token effort to evade the appearance [based on the reality] that they are sandbagging Akin, or, are committed to doing what it takes to defeat McCaskill is the question.

There are some smaller conservative groups backing Akin like DeMint's PAC, but the big three (NRSC, Crossroads and Americans for Prosperity) dont appear to be helping at this point.
