As someone who has seen multiple forms of party leadership in the game, here would be my recommendation:

Have an elected Chairman, which would obviously be Duke. There would then be one or two appointed positions that the chairman makes, just to make sure everything gets done. They shouldn't be elected, just appointed. But the positions are needed, I feel, to ensure that this party is ran properly. No pointless positions though, just for the sake of having them.

While recruiting was my strength years ago, GOTV efforts have been my preferred strength as of recent. I'm a competitive person, and losing is something I deeply despise - I've never lost an election in this game, and my goal is that The People never lose an election either. Should we go with Duke's suggestion, I would appreciate the position of Vice Chairman, should The People select me.

I'll run for Vice Chairman of The Party of The People.

I agree that approval voting is probably the best method.

This party is easily the best fit for me! I'm very excited at its creation, and even more excited by joining it.
We're very happy to have you, along with Happy Warrior!!! Smiley Smiley

Simply put, experience is a key component in being a successful Vice Chair, and I'd say there are only a select few in this game who have more experience than I do when it comes to getting voters to the booth, along with recruiting new members to the party. Activity has never been a problem for me, and it never will be as long as I serve as Vice Chair. Commitment is also important to me - I believe those in leadership positions should be fully committed to the party, and I will never just up and leave this party unless there's a good explanation.

This party is off to a great start...let's make it even better. I would appreciate your vote! Smiley

Thanks!

All things considered, I think this was a great first election for us! Congratulations to all candidates elected, especially TPP candidates.

I think we need to start working hard at developing a platform - there seems to be a rumor going around that we have absolutely no ideological backbone or beliefs, which obviously isn't true. Wink

Please contact me via PM if you'd like to be a regional chair. I haven't received any applications.

The Senate vacancy. You and Spamage would both be good candidates.

Yeah, we should probably start holding some endorsement votes.

We still gotta come up with a platform!!! Grr

I could have sworn I announced regional chairs, but apparently I didn't...

Simfan is the Northeast Chair.
Benconstine is the Mideast Chair.
Spamage is the Pacific Chair.
Midwest - Vacant
IDS is currently going to be Duke since I didn't have anyone apply. But please apply if you're interested, and you'll likely get the job! Smiley

I thought about waiting, but I'd rather do this now to ensure a smooth transition so that the party is fully prepared for the December At-Large Senate Elections.

I will be stepping down as Vice Chairman of the party. I strongly urge everyone to back Nix to take my place. I'm sure he'll do an excellent job.

I never advocated abolishing the at-large Senate. I just suggested making two classes of regional Senators and eliminating the Mideast Region.

Well, I'm kind of playing copycat here, but I would be very humbled to have the endorsement of The People in the upcoming Mideast Gubernatorial election. Smiley I'll have some nice things to say once y'all get to the voting.

Cutting it close, eh. Wink

Thank you to TexasDem, Ben, and anyone else who chose to endorse me. Smiley I feel my record as a bi-partisan moderate in this game makes me the most qualified to win this endorsement. If any need swayed, I suppose I could give a longer spiel. Wink
