The People grow stronger with every convert.

I suppose at some point we need to form official bylaws and the like and decide which leadership positions we need.

Leadership?  The People lead us Duke.  We are at their beck and call.

I don't know, actually.

How about this: A chairman and a vice chair. The vice chair's duties will mostly include the get out the vote effort of the party during election time. The chairmen will preside over everything else and be entrusted to weigh the suggestions and make the final decision.

The two appointed positions seem a bit, well, vague now that I think about it. A simple chair and vice chair would suffice. I don't see a need for a whip/secretary/majority leader/etc etc ... you get the picture Tongue

I'd rather have a Whip and a Secretary to be honest.  One to lead the GOTV effort, and the other to lead in recruitment/keep bylaw records, ect.  Obviously GOTV effort would over-lap, but it's important that efforts are dispersed.

I have no objections to approval.  I do however have serious qualms with that ugly pink on our logo.

I prefer the approval system, as well as having regional chairs.

I agree, but regional chairs should be appointed by the Vice-Chair as he's directly responsible for GOTV efforts.

This party is easily the best fit for me! I'm very excited at its creation, and even more excited by joining it.

Welcome!

Yes, welcome TexasDem! I wish HW would tell us how happy he is to be here too. Sad

He's having a moment to take it all in.  It's not everyday you return to serve The People.

Aye.

Aye

On a side note, I was actually unaware the election started today. We need to appoint regional chairs asap and form some sort of coherent GOTV effort for our candidates like Ben, Oakvale, Nix, Cinci, etc.. I trust Tmth is on top of things though Tongue (i hope)

I think the most important thing to focus on is that the Phil/Inks ticket is beating The Peoples ticket Duke/Cinci Unsure

On a side note, we have about 15 members, so we should be able to easily achieve 100% turnout in the Federal election.  Tmth, if you need any help coordinating our GOTV effort, just send me a message, though I suspect you have it under control Smiley

We have 46% turnout (6/13) so far, the highest of any party.

To be expected from a new, small party.  100% is certainly attainable considering our members are pretty active.

The vacant Senate seat(s), obviously.  Come now Duke, it's really time you returned to where you belong.

I thought about waiting, but I'd rather do this now to ensure a smooth transition so that the party is fully prepared for the December At-Large Senate Elections.

I will be stepping down as Vice Chairman of the party. I strongly urge everyone to back Nix to take my place. I'm sure he'll do an excellent job.

Sorry to hear this.  Hopefully you'll still be available in some capacity to further The People's will.  And I strongly support your recommendation Smiley

FTR, it's ridiculous that we've been endorsing 5 people for the same Assembly election.  We did the same thing last At-Large Unsure

I also found another tree. This one includes purple text, since we seem to be on a purple kick. Maybe it satisfies the masses? Maybe not. Tongue

Why not take oakvale's logo, stretch it as a banner, and put it under the damn tree.. Jesus..
