Channeling a bit of Donald Trump to combat attack ads; I like it.

Remember when he first announced he was running and talked about how he would "keep in mind" how he was "treated" by both sides during the race when he would decide who to caucus with? Guy has a serious ego. Totally fitting that he's an Indie.

Personally, I thought that was entirely reasonable when it happened. I mean, any party willing to firebomb you up one side and down the other on national television is hardly making a very strong case as to why you should be their best friend, now are they?

Wow, was King this much of a prima donna when he was Governor?

Ironic, as I consider myself pretty biased towards Independent candidates, yet I'd rather have the GOP or even the Democrat win over this guy.

Ugh, he better not screw this up. But all signs point to his campaign being Stench-level incompetent.

Unless by "action" he means announcing that he will caucus with the Democrats, then he should take a chill pill.

Told you! Tongue I realize that the tea party has left many willing to latch onto anyone who comes their way, but before you do, keep this in mind.

People with attitudes like this aren't going to be the solution to our problems, people with attitudes like this were the problem for years prior to any form of conservative revolt taking place. Latching onto them with a broad sweeping endorsement is just as much folly as the right trying to primary everyone they disagree with even in states that also disagree with then. You have to pick candidates more carefully and on more criteria then just ideology. That applies just as much to moderates as conservatives.

Power-hungry egotists of any philosophical leaning are just as damaging in Washington as an ideologue. The former won't do what is necessary because it ain't popular, the later can't because he isn't built to operate in Congress.

Oh God, if King manages to lose this I hope ME democrats lynch him. We had a more than fair chance to elect Pingree, and instead we end up being forced to back a moderate hero which might well snatch defeat from the jaws of victory? Great job!

This guy will easily be one of the worst Senators. He’s unbearable. “Prima dona” doesn’t even begin to describe him. Polls are showing a closer race now but I refuse to get my hopes up on this one.

No, Akin will be the consolation prize for the Akin fiasco - one can never underestimate the voters, Torie, never.
