Mr. Poirot, I don't even think you're eligible to vote this election.

Mr. Poirot, I don't even think you're eligible to vote this election.

You should post the relevant statute, in that case, because this assertion is inconsistent with my interpretation of regional law.

I'm not sure about regional law, but federally, you have to be registered for a week before you can vote. Poirot's only been in for a few days, hasn't he?

You seem like a nice kid. A bit weird, but at least you care.

The free food available at my office are exquisite Belgian chocolates.

Damn you! Do I still get chocolate even if I don't explicitly endorse you?

Yes, chocolate is freely available on the table near the door to all visitors. There is no commitment asked or paper to sign to get it. If you don't want to be seen near the office, you could send one of your aides.

Yay!

I took all the chocolate, by the way.

I support your support for research and space program funding, though I'm not sure why a reduction in Senators' terms would be needed - for one, it shakes up our every-two-month system.

A shorter term is to make it easier for those elected to serve a full term being active. With a term not as long it can be easier for someone to commit to the game, easier to see in the short term if you have the time (real life schedule and events), not lose interest. If somethings happens that makes a senator less active or want to give up, the senator has only a few weeks to wait and exit instead of resigning. It also gives more people a chance to become a senator with more elections (could be a higher rotation).

I suppose you're right, though I think the status quo is fine - it's not like this is a problem that presses upon our national interest.

Federal politics is a dirty game. I commend you for keeping your head above the fray and acting as a gentleman would. You're a damn good player and you'll go far, even if we don't always share the same views. Have fun out there.

Was your speech in Nashua interesting, given that most of the city was in ruins after the fighting there?
