One clarification, what are the point of convention endorsements.

The idea is that these endorsements would just be apart of the convention process. I'm thinking we should add primary procedure to the convention as well just in case more then one Labor Party member chooses to run for president or more run for the Senate then spots. Thoughts?

I believe it's time to start working on the party platform. Vice Chair Marokai Blue and two appointed party members will make up the platform committee.

Would Spamage, Speed of Sound and anyone else who would like to receive our endorsement  like to give us brief explanation of why you want to receive the endorsement of the Labor Party and what you will do as a Senator to help promote our values? Your answers could help all of us make a more informed decision on who we should endorse! =)

Oakland. SF seems like a city that would vote Liberal.

I agree! How about a joint hosting of Berkley and Oakland?

Cathcon would have to have Labor member on his ticket in order to receive the endorsement of our party because there is already is a declared Laborite in the Presidential race.

There is a very good precedent here in Atlasia and in the rest of the world for ignoring the written laws of an entity made at its inception. Some would call such a thing "unconstitutional", but we all know such words are red herrings.

Perhaps you should refer to our convention, where we just adopted said by-laws without incident. "Inception" is a relative term, as this recent set of by-laws was the first set adopted using the convention procedure - as set forth in the only other set of by-laws ever adopted by this Party.

A few reasons as to why you should vote for me to become the new Vice-Chair:

- In my opinion the main job of the Vice-Chair is to draft the party's platform. To me this is the most important document our party produces as it puts our party's values, goals and desired policies down on paper for all to see. As the primary author of the by-laws, I feel as though I have shown the ability to construct a big time document for the party.

- While I think that the first draft of the platform was a great start, it at times seemed to me that it was too much of a rehashing of President-Elect Marokai Blue's campaign platform. Not that this was a bad start, but I felt like it missed out on some details and policies areas that should be in our platform. My goal would be to transform first platform into a document that has more precise policy goals and solutions on all issues confronting Atlasia.

- I support the idea of the Labor Party joining Socialist International and stating our membership in the platform.

- The another main job of the Vice-Chair is to make sure that the party has a position on the various pieces of legislation on both the Federal and Regional levels. With help of the ROC's, I will put for bi-weekly reports on the legislation that is being debated in the Senate and the regions. This will allow for party discussion on these matters before we come up with a party stance on the each given issue.

- I would also use my position as Vice-Chair to promote and encourage our party's elected officials, on both the Federal and Regional level, to propose and push for legislation that would promote the points made in our platform. Especially in areas that the points on our platform and the actual laws are the farthest apart.

- Lastly it is my job to recruit new members to the party in order to make sure that we are always growing. I will make sure to reach out to new members of the Atlas Fourm that be a good fit in our party.
