National party, if only to reward de Klerk's sensible decision to rescind apartheid udner favourable terms instead of a revolution.

Even though I don't agree with them on most things, ANC. Can't vote for the architects of apartheid.

DP or NP through mostly in the hope of avoiding a 2/3 ANC majority. But if I had to vote with the heart ANC.

There are more than two options in this poll.

I can't not vote for the FF party.

I wouldn't have put you down as a supporter of the Afrikaner volkstaat, but maybe you're just trolling or maybe I should stop being surprised with libertarians and their politics.

The former. It's the FF. You can't vote against something that is so clearly an FF.

In reality I would have voted Democratic.

Not a big fan of the ANC these days, but there are few human beings finer than Nelson Mandela.

Nelson Mandela would be the primary reason to vote ANC if for no other reason, the guy is a legit hero.

Really? You'd vote for a corrupt Zulu nationalist party that has, according to one of its own members of parliament (!) "no discernible vision, mission or philosophical base, no clear national ambitions or direction, no articulated ideological basis" ? Or a borderline racist (borderline is being generous) right-wing Afrikaner separatist party? Or a socialist pan-Africanist party? Or a Christian nationalist party that is against using condoms to fight AIDS, wants to ban pornography, and claims that the current age of consent in South Africa was set by gay activists who want to sleep with children?

I could maybe understand this kind of attitude towards Jacob Zuma and the modern ANC, but this is the party of Nelson Mandela we're talking about. I do not understand what would drive someone to be so fervently against them.
