the Trots picked up on this today, "Greek police collude with fascist Golden Dawn group"

http://wsws.org/articles/2012/oct2012/dawn-o09.shtml

Reports attest to the fact that the police have referred citizens asking for assistance to the fascists. The Guardian newspaper recently reported on “mounting evidence that Athenians are being openly directed by police to seek help from the neo-Nazi group”.

Would you accept social services from Golden Dawn if offered?

He's from an ethnic background that they do not like and is also some form of communist, so the question is something like triply moot.

My comment? Yeah, it's not supposed to make sense; I was just trying to think of a Greek historical figure that I could use for the whole "_____ is rolling in their grave" point about the Greek police teaming up with the Golden Dawn.

Even if Syriza wanted to do something like what the article suggests, the vaguest hint from Syriza that they would act like that in office would pretty much prevent them from ever getting elected.

I think the hints that they were going to default were pretty obvious, hence why their high support.
