48-45 Obama, a net gain of 7 for Romney from EPIC-MRA's last poll last month (47-37).

600 LV; MoE +-4%.  The poll was "in the three days following the Wednesday debate"  - so October 4-6.

So the poll was done entirely over what were probably Romney's best days...

The collapse among Midwestern whites continues, as opebo presciently predicted.

You need to relax, Lief. At the very least, wait a week and see how the polls look then. We've already seen Mitt's bounce dissipate on the trackers...

What collapse?  Obama's actually up 1 from their September poll.  Undecideds broke to Romney.

Romney is actually doing better with Michigan 18-49s than 50+s according to the poll.

MI has been an elusive state all cycle. It is a Romney home state and is a traditional battleground. Every once in a while a poll shows Romney strength there, yet neither campaign has run any ads there all season. Maybe with two polls showing it in range Romney will finally jump in as he needs to extend his path to 270 possibilities.

RE: Detroit Go Bankrupt
I did see a report, I think it was Chuck Todd, that said that Team Obama has already prepared ads for MI focusing on that and they were ready to carpet bomb   with the message of how Romney wanted detroit to go bankrupt

EPIC-MRA has always been far more favorable to Romney than other pollsters. If Romney didn't get a lead after the debate, then he's not going to get one at all. He has zero home state advantage there.

DON'T LET OUR PENSIONS GO BANKRUPT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It turns out a lot of the pension funds were invested in GM bonds, which the takeover either damaged or wiped out.

The olds shall rise again!!!  Wink

The Michiganders Romney needs are more informed than national lefty hacks who think that that bumper sticker is factual/ makes sense.  Obama let Detroit go bankrupt after wasting taxpayer money, than broke the law by screwing bondholders, than set the companies up to be weaker long term than they would have been, MITT WAS 100% RIGHT about everything and he told us BEFORE everything happened!!!
