I hope CSPAN covers it. I am glad they are including all four third party candidates. Roseanne would be a interesting addition, but she would be a distraction, so I can see why she is out.

Why this 3rd party candidate and not an other? Perfect example for why we should only have 2-candidates (with the rare exception of 3) in the debates.

Practically, an inclusive debate could be restricted to just the candidates with ballot access in enough states to theoretically win the election.

UPDATE: The debate is to be held at the University Club of Chicago, those 4 candidates are going, R/D is invited, and it will be broadcast worldwide (live?) on al-Jazeera and Link TV.

“The four candidates participating represent a nice balance of right and left leaning candidates,” stated Christina Tobin, chair of Free and Equal. “This debate will cover the real issues facing our country such as foreign policy, the economy, and civil rights, rather than topics that further divide us.”

I *think* that would be exactly this list (counting recognized write-in status as ballot access). Plus Romney and Obama, of course.

They could easily do one debate of that type plus one frontrunners-only debate. That would make the most sense I think.
