quite possibly the worst resolution ever passed by Congress in the 20th century. The two Senators who voted no deserve national holidays.

That stupid Resolution was a campaign resolution to take the wind out of the sails of Barry Goldwater's anti-Communist campaign.

As a senator, even if I hypothetically supported the war, I wouldn't have let the president have his authority from the discretionary areas of a vague resolution.
