With Henry Clay's Presidency going on its eighth year, the President shall nonetheless run for a third term, the third President to do so, following Thomas Jefferson and DeWitt Clinton. Again he is challenged by the weak yet rising Democratic party, headed by Andrew Jackson. As well, a third party emerges, in fear of both candidates' associations with the Free Masons. The Anti-Masonic ticket, headed by former Attorney General William Wirt, could pose a threat to both parties.

The tradition here seems to be three terms, definitely.

I am assuming that under Clay's presidency, no Indian Removal Act was passed, and thus the main claim for William Wirt as an advocate for the Cherokee does not apply here as it would in OTL.

Therefore, I don't see any reason to turn Clay out of office.

Yes, but you are still casting your lot with that of the evil Masons.  Therefore, you have none of our respect or admiration for continuing to support the Masonic stooge Henry Clay.

May God have mercy on your soul.

Proof! Clay is truly a menace to our society. You good people knew of the disappearance of William Morgan, correct? Here is the proof that Clay is affiliated with Morgan's murderers, who kidnapped and murdered him right before he could reveal the secrets of the Masons. If good government is to be restored all Masons must be purged from public office. Up with America! Down with the Masons!

1832
The call for states' rights and an end to the national bank once again fell flat on the voters' ears, even being ignored in favor of another party's rallying cries against the masons. Jackson, bitter after an even larger defeat than four years ago, vowed to quit politics, leaving the running of the new Democratic party in the hands of his successor, Martin Van Buren. Meanwhile, the National Republicans were riding high, winning another land-slide election in a row.

President Henry Clay (National Republican-Kentucky)/Former Congressman John Sergeant (National Republican-Pennsylvania) 192 electoral votes, 55.2% of the popular vote
Former U.S. Attorney General William Wirt (Anti-Masonic-Maryland)/Former Judge Amos Ellmaker (Anti-Masonic-Pennsylvania) 59 electoral votes, 24.1% of the popular vote
Former Senator Andrew Jackson (Democrat-Tennessee)/Former Governor Martin Van Buren (Democrat-New York) 37 electoral votes, 20.7% of the popular vote
