Can't we have a debate on social issues now. There have been plenty of economic and foreign policy questions this season. Just two questions on social issues. Plus why can't we have a conservative leaning moderator? All four of these folks are known Obama sycophants.

You realize that a debate on social issues would cripple the Republican candidate, right?

But it could destroy the Democrats.

This thread is pretty quiet.  Is everybody debated out?

Monday Night Football and the NLCS are both on tv in my gf's house with the smallest cable package available here in Nova Scotia, but none of the pre-debate punditry can be found anywhere on the dial.  Yay, Canada!

Recent polls showing Obama losing in Maine CD-2, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and in serious trouble in Oregon, Georgia and Michigan

If Obama wins tonight, he can turn the tide

If he makes a draw, he can stop the bleeding but still lose badly in two weeks

If he wins, suddenly Arizona is in play

Huh?

At best, Obama can shift the momentum.  At worst, people look at all three debate, and say Romney.

Every time they talk to an undecided voter in this pre-debate chatter I facepalm.  Seriously, the fact that these people haven't picked someone by NOW and are actually voting scares me.

If Mitt wins he likely wins the Midwest and thus the election.

They might say they are undecided just to get on those programs.  Or they might be undecided because they don't know where to go to vote, don't know how to register to vote, and don't know the names of the candidates yet.

Obama is very confident.  If he makes a mistake, it could rattle him.  Three AM phone call?

Wonder if Mitt'll mention his valiant tour of France in his younger days.

can we at least agree that there will be just one "who won the debate?" thread for this debate and not a dozen threads for each focus group and post debate poll?

Good answer by Romney.  Really, this should be a boring draw debate.  The candidates simply do not disagree strong enough on foreign policy for there to be any barbs.  Romney might try to do some Libya attacks again, but after they failed last week I doubt he'll go as hard.
