I saw the stage on CNN this morning.  The journalist that was reporting on it said as much, as well.

What effect will tonight's debate have on the race?  It is competing with Monday Night Football and Game 7 of the National League Championship Series.  How many people will actually choose to watch politics?

These two candidates are quite similar on foreign policy, that this debate is not going to come down to substance, but style.  So far, I would say Obama is winning on style so far.

Obama's is winning, and we would expect a blowout on the CNN poll.  However, they surprised most of us last week by putting the debate closer than expected.

Going back through the 10 pages of this thread, nobody is saying Obama will get a huge bounce out of this debate.  Most agree that this debate came too little too late for Obama in an election that is not predominately Foreign Policy.
