And the worst part is Mourdock trumpeting this as great news.

Why release an internal showing yourself losing support? He really must be as stupid as he seems. Have things really got so bad he's got to say "Look, it's still a tie!"

Reminder that Dick Lugar would be winning by 20-30 points right now.

Dick Lugar is a horrible human being as well. I have absolutely no bipartisan respect for that disgusting man and don't know why others do.

This was the best case scenario. Cheesy

Wait, you think Dick Lugar is a horrible human being, but are trumpeting Shelley Berkeley 2012?

Yes, because Shelley Berkley will be an excellent Senator.

Dick Lugar is a better human being than Shelley Berkley. He is a great senator, and Berkley will (only) be a democrat senator. Being a hardcore liberal, I'm not sure whom I do prefer.

What's so great about him? He's ancient and a conservative Republican. Democrats like to say they like him as an example of feigned bipartisanship but he is mostly horrible in reality.

I think I need to put you on ignore because the picture in your signature is creeping me out. Its not a flattering photo of her at all! Also, your motivation for putting Berkley in the Senate seems motivated purely by a Joker-like fascination over how much corruption and havoc she will bring to the institution, which is the last thing the incumbent party needs when it will have more seats to defend come 2014.

That's not my reason at all. I'm just saying that the main argument against her (she's corrupt and unlikable) isn't all that bad for some people and it makes her interesting and unique as a female politician.

I think she'd make a fantastic Senator, particularly for her passion for women's and gay rights and protecting the environment.

Who'd have thought that forcing a woman to have her rapist's baby would be so unpopular?!

Donnelly is ahead, has the momentum, and will win; I wouldn't be surprised to see a Haganesque victory in the upper single digits.

Early voting has begun in Indiana.

I was planning on heading over to the courthouse later today to cast my vote, but am still unsure on the Senate race.

My advice is wait to the end of the early vote period, rather than go immediately. After what happened in 2008 with Dole and her "godless" ad, you can't really react to it if you have already voted. We will probably wait towards the end of the early vote period here in NC, for that, but also because of fact that we have to wait to for my dad's registration to go through. He has never voted before, that I know of.

Donnelly was also out with an internal. He's up 47-40.

So Donnelly is probably up 3-5 points at present and gaining.

I hope that Mourdock's phone is ringing off the hook with McConnell, Cornyn, Rove, Romney's people, the Koch brothers and anyone else who benefits from him winning, trying to get him out of lala land and into reality of where he is heading.
