58-33 Romney

Obama picked up 4 percentage points since the last survey in August, while Romney remained unchanged.

In Tulsa, Romney and Obama were both at 46 percent. Romney led by 26 points in Oklahoma City and 42 points in the rest of the state.

The survey included both land lines and cell phones.

Not that it matters but that's actually a pretty underwhelming showing for Mittens.

I wonder if Obama will win any of the 77 counties in Oklahoma.

That tells me that Romney probably can't count on a 77-county sweep in Oklahoma like Bush did in 2004 and McCain did in 2008.

It may swing Obama, especially the eastern part of the state.

This poll seems deeply inconsistent with the notion that Romney might win the popular vote but lose the electoral college.  Oklahoma was 39 points more Republican than the rest of the nation in 2008....so it seems like Romney would have to win this sort of state by about 40 for that scenario to come true.

Why would Tulsa be so much more Dem than OKC? I do expect the Mormon factor to hurt Mkttens in OK, but that's more about his base not turning out than anybody switching to the President.

very doubtful, I live very near eastern Oklahoma, it's not liberal at all.  I'd be surprised if Obama is within 30.

The title of the poll should explain that.  SoonerPoll.com regularly polls races in the Sooner State.

We have seen few polls from sure-thing states like Delaware, Oklahoma, and Vermont unless there  is a hot Senate race.  (Thus Massachusetts).

Can someone explain to me what's going on in the white South? Every poll seems like either a big swing for or a big swing against Obama.

Oklahoma is one of the most republican states in the nation.  I'm surprised it's this close.
