Shades of 2000. I wonder if this election will live up to the hype...

The only way to solve election disputes that's even worse than fighting in the streets!

It's more the fact that it's not even abnormal to expect an election dispute.

This doesn't actually mean the race has to be close.

I remember that McCain and Obama did the same in late Oct. 2008 when it was already clear that Obama would win in a landslide.

This is just business-as-usual I guess ...

Doesn't mean it'll be close at all, but anything within a certain margin in most US states (up to 0.5%-1% or so depending on the state) is worthy of considering legal action. Not even counting the possibility of widespread official misconduct (like Florida 2000).

Going to be interesting to see how Ohio plays out and what Sec. of State might try yet to pull there. I'm encouraged that the UN has taken an interest in the fairness of this election, though. FL could certainly be another 2000.

All the Absentee votes will not be counted by election day.

The actual election day voters will mostly go for Romney.

Heck, I don't think that many Absentee votes will actually be mailed in, especially if Obama is losing in the polls.
