I think David is best described as a cross between the guy from Braveheart, Edward Cullen and that hot guy who leads Hillsong United.

I don't see anything particularly astounding about either of these quotes.  Have people just never been to a liberal Protestant church before? Sad

There's 'liberal' and then there's calling people 'hot' and talking about the 'guy from Braveheart' in sermons.

I've never attended a particularly liberal congregation, but that sounds completely normal to me.
