1. Which elections were between two southerners (counting Maryland, Kentucky, and Missouri as South)? I can think of 2000 (Texas vs Tennesse) and 1992 (Arkansas vs Texas)

2. How would an election between two southerners go in 2016?

1. I don't think of MD, MO or TX as southern. So, none.

2. 2016 with a Southern Dem would be a lot like 2000. Doesn't much matter where the GOP candidate is from IMHO.
