Before he voted to expell himself, Bacon King generously listed ways in which he could have easily "screwed the rules", and so this is to provide insurance that future Senators won't be able to use that list of loopholes to escape justice.

If I had thought about ti, this would have been the perfect point to use the dual UC power, but since the minimum debate time runs out at 2:30 PM, tomorrow, I will just use the one in case someone comments.


Senators, I ask unanimous consent to waive the cloture requirement and proceed immediately to a final vote here. Senators have 24 hours to object.

Amendment has passed. I just went in and corrected the spelling typo, rather than lose another day for a special correction that doesn't change the intent/effect of the text.
