I posted in the "Trends" section concerning the detail in the change of the suburban voters and their voting patterns (trending more democratic since the mid 90s).

The movement turned many former reddish states into solid blue.  Does anyone know what the breakdown of the suburban vote was last week?

The "suburban vote" varied widely depending on the suburb, of course.

Generally, there is a trend.

Not as bad as 2008, but worse than the Bush elections methinks.

And from USA Today:

So it looks like Romney just barely won the suburban vote nationwide, slightly improving over McCain, and also improving in rural areas and small cities. However, he lost the overall city vote by a huge margin-only about 1/3 of city voters selected Romney.
