New York could still swing to Obama too! It's so close!

So turnout isn't going to end up being down very much from '08 after all, eh?

And Romney's gonna end up losing by close to 4%. Not exactly a very close election then, even going by just the PV.

Percentage-wise (rounded up), is it safe yet to conclude that President Obama won with 52% of the popular vote, and Romney is now Mr. 47%?  How close are we?

The final percentage will be about 51.0-47.2.

Sounds about right. I'd be shocked if Obama rounds up to 52%.

After counting provisionals in Ohio today, Obama's lead has jumped from about 2% to 2.72%! And Columbus provisionals are apparently still not counted.

Obama is also up to 50.88% nationally, leading Romney by 3.48%.

Hopefully we can climb to at least 3.5 points.

That's a given.

So I'm guessing there aren't enough votes left for Obama to hit or pass 51.00% outright?

That and whether NY will swing to Obama (vs. 2008) are the two major things I'm still wondering about.

Is Rhode Island done? That's another one that's so close to swinging to Obama...

Yeah, Rhode Island is done. So far, 33 states have certified.

Sad

Ohio is such a disappointment... It was predicted to be 1 to 2 points more democratic than the nation as a whole, and will end 0.6-0.8 points more rep instead. Sad

Even Sherrod Brown's result was underwhelming... Cry

What was the final result in the Senate race?

Still not a bad drop-off at all. Many people were expecting it to be much worse. I certainly was earlier in the year.

Felt like '96 for a while but it ended up becoming '04+.
