Howard Dean says he's open to another presidential bid, and fires something of a warning shot against Hillary Clinton, saying she won't run for the nomination unopposed (perhaps suggesting that he might oppose her):

Biden stopped in early state Nevada this week to speak to the League of United Latin American Citizens.  He then spoke to the US Conference of Mayors:

Santorum will speak at the Family Leadership Summit sponsored by the Iowa Family Leader, Citizens United, Heritage Action, and The National Organization for Marriage on Aug. 10:

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20130619/NEWS09/130619034/Rick-Santorum-to-speak-at-Iowa-Family-Leader-summit?Frontpage&gcheck=1

He already has another event scheduled in Iowa on Aug. 8.  If you're an out of state politician, and have two public appearances in Iowa in three days, you might be running for president.

At a conference in Toronto, Hillary Clinton says she hopes to see a female president "in my lifetime."

Christie is pursuing a Southern strategy in the 2016 primaries by naming the Dallas Cowboys as his favorite NFL team:

Texas has the second largest number of RNC delegates in the country, after California, and it's the largest state with a primary on Super Tuesday.  Wink

I guess this means the schism between libertarians and neo-cons will be even bigger than usual in 2016...

He says he wants to turn Dallas into the "Christian Hollywood":

Democratic fundraisers are meeting to discuss fundraising for the pro-Clinton 2016 groups, like the Super PAC "Ready for Hillary":

Gingrich recently said that he wouldn't rule out another presidential run in 2016.  Well, he does now have a new day job that he'd have to leave in case he runs again.  He's signed with CNN to co-host the relaunched version of Crossfire:

http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2013/06/cnn-announces-crossfire-relaunch-167110.html?hp=l12

(The signing of Gingrich had rumored for some time, but is just now being officially confirmed.)

Hmm. I'm surprised he's not doing a show on The History Channel.

Schweitzer still has to be considered on the 2016 radar until he makes an official announcement about his 2014 plans.  At present, he won't say on the record that he's running for Senate:

But unofficially, it sounds like he's already making all the necessary behind the scenes moves for a Senate campaign:

Christie's rhetoric has taken a huge shift to the right.  Gone are the days of, "It's not Republican or Democrat," now it's:

Hopefully that ends the Democrats' love affair with Christie, for both the gubernatorial and presidential contests, now that he's shown himself to be yet another politician who says what ever it takes to get elected.

Ryan will ramp up his fundraising for fellow House Republicans, which will of course boost his influence among them:

http://www.politico.com/story/2013/07/paul-ryan-house-republican-fundraising-93641.html?hp=f2

I leave it up to you to decide whether you think that's because he's running for president, or because he wants to double down on his career within the House, with a possible eye towards joining the House leadership.

Perry seemed to suggest in April that he would decide on 2016 by now:

But still no public decision from him.  Obviously, it would be incredibly unusual to give a firm commitment on running this early, but then why suggest that a decision was imminent, as in the above quote?

And just after I posted that, Perry announced that he'll have a big announcement on his future plans on Monday, July 8.  He sent the following email to his supporters:
