What are some issues where you would be considered a nut in the USA?

Ex: I am a monarchist and I want to restrict divorce again.

Pretty mainstream on economics, really. I have some sort-of wacky foreign policy beliefs; I am very pro-immigration; and I'm quite out of the mainstream on some social issues, like (for instance) polygamy. Everybody agrees that the government should allow people to do whatever they want within reasonable limits, but my limits are much less restrictive than the American mainstream.

I didn't like the Lincoln Administration (habeas corpus/military tribunals). Apparently that is frowned upon.

-End War on Drugs
-Legalize prostitution
-make English the official language
-overturn Roe vs. Wade
-favor constitutional amendment denying corporations personhood
-make comprehensive sex education mandatory
-end the Electoral College, and have the President elected by the national popular vote
-replace FPTP with proportional representation

I'm sure I missed a few...

I support legalizing (albeit heavily regulating) prostitution and I don't care if a person wants to marry multiple people (not that I'm out actively fighting for that right, of course).  I guess what makes me out of the mainstream the most in general is that I'm very hesitant to support any law that prosecutes victimless crimes or ones whose justifications are strictly drawn to what "looks good" as opposed to what's right and practical; of course, the line of which that's interpreted by is pretty subjective.

Notably, many of the positions I support today are ones that weren't accepted by society decades, or even just several years ago, but are gradually becoming mainstream or uncontroversial positions such as drug legalization and same-sex marriage.

I support sensible gun laws, like those in the United Kingdom.

I support decriminalizing drugs and am open to the idea of legalizing prostitution, not that I would go proclaiming that from the mountaintops if I were to run for office. On most issues, though, I suspect that I would just be viewed as an average leftist. Oh, and ending restrictive copyright laws. That's another one.

Legalising drugs, prostitution (obviously heavily regulated in both cases) and polygamy.

It'd be easier to list the ways that I'm not outside of the mainstream.

I'm sorry, I literally laughed out loud at that. UK gun laws are literally an inside joke in my family.

I oppose the exploitation of the working class by capitalist vultures.

This, on the other hand, wasn't funny decades ago.

Legalize drugs and prostitution.. but the biggest one is probably leave the UN, also I'm not a fan of suporting any regime with diplomacy or aid which violates human rights consistently and or engages in oppression. I'm also kind of interventionist, but I want to cut the defense budget in half. And I want to repeal NAFTA

One more is nationalize green energy research, space race like NASA, and universal health care, war on poverty, glass steagall reinstatementand a living wage.. if that isn't mainstream.

Legalize all drugs. I want to pay back what everyone paid into Social Security and Medicare so they can decide what to do with that money. Completely end the Federal Reserve. Get rid of most  of our military bases across the globe.

Desiring to abolish the Senate isn't exactly mainstream.

And thinking current gasoline prices in the States are too LOW and that taxation should be gradually increased...

They aren't "too LOW" if you live in a rural area with next to no public transportation and have to drive a lot to get around. Gas prices here are ridiculous if you don't have a good job to help you pay for transportation.

As for the OP, I favor nationalizing the energy sector. I'm also in favor of making prostitution legal and establishing a national bank.

I'm sure the majority of these people in rural areas are driving small Ford Fiestas, right ? And not some 12 mpg pick-up?

Assuming that people are rational is a bad idea.

As to the OP… mandatory gun ownership would probably be the biggest issue.
Also these:
-End War on Drugs
-Legalize prostitution
-end the Electoral College, and have the President elected by the national popular vote
-replace FPTP with proportional representation
I believe that to serve the public as a politician in a democracy is a virtuous and heroic act.

↑ Although only with a massive overhaul of public transportation.
As for the OP, I favor nationalizing the energy sector.
