I demand that the Kingman in question investigate this terrible violation of democracy that has occurred in the Most Serene Republic of the Midwest.

Pursuant to the Fourth Midwest Constitution, Section II-(c):

Section II-(d) also elaborates on this:

Based on my interpretation, an election booth for Regional Kommissær and Wisard Ekstraordinar should have been opened on December 13 - three days short of a week ago Cheesy terday. This is Angry t what democracy looks like.

I also submit the following for humorous review:

I oppose this. Way too long in case we forget to hold an election again. I move it be shortened to 1 month.

This might be good stuff for a libel demand. I'll ask Mr. Kingman if he wants to represent Ms. Hilton.

While I would love to represent a GENUINE CELEBRITY, unfortunately Dibble would certainly rule this as frivolous, as Ms. Hilton is not a registered member of Atlasia.

I would like to join your prestigious firm, Mr. Kingman.

We are glad to have you aboard as our newest Associate Attorney! Prove your mettle and you might make partner one day!

I don't know of any prior legal experience you've had so I'm going to make you a paralegal. If you can demonstrate prior judicial or lawyering talent with a brief resume I'll consider hiring you on as a lawyer Smiley

Okay, you're both hired! From now on, interested candidates, please apply by PM.

Also this firm is vry srs bsns so I expect at least some activity from you guys! Once you make partner you're good but associates will get fired if lazy. Paralegals and such can get promoted by researching a case to make, demonstrating it briefly to me via PM or IRC, then making it. Smiley

The info is here if you need it

Second Midwest Constitution

- The election of the Governor shall take place on the third weekend of the months of April, August and December on the Gregorian calendar. The election will begin on the Friday of that weekend, and will end one week later.
Clause II – The Governor-elect shall take the oath of office on the first Thursday following the Election.

Good effort doing the research, but it's out of date: the Midwest is actually on it's fourth Constitution, which can be found here. I was confused myself at first too, because the Midwest page on the wiki links to the Third Constitution. Almost cited the wrong Constitution myself Tongue (on that note, I'm seriously considering doing some major wiki clean-up as a bit of pro-bono work).

At any rate, here is the case!

Should of realized, what the point of having a this out of date wiki anyway, it thinks there are only two elections so far.

The Midwest situation isn't any better.
The Regional Kommissær can't open ballot boxes, it's the Wizard Extraordinaire which can.

We still have to vote on one federal amendment, since nobody can open the box.
Asking the Wizard to resign wouldn't solve things, since there is no procedures to fill vacancies.
The Althing (legislature) can't do anything to fix that, since it can only introduce and debate legislation, it can only vote during the election periods, next one being in February.

If you are interested, the Office of the Regional Kommissær (me) is wanting to pay you to find loopoles to solve the current deadlock.

Didn't Ebowed give the power temporarily to open the boxes, just ask again for power until the emergency ends, then try to fix it, you can't win in an election that doesn't happen.
