Who has thoughts on this possible 2016 race?  What would the map look like in a "better, but not great" economy?

Congratulations, Brian. You've successfully picked the 1 VP that makes me not vote for you.

A close race, where Schweitzer basically abandons the Southern swing states and really zeroes in on the West and particularly rural, libertarian flavored voters.  I wouldn't be surprised if Jindal has a scare in AK and Schweitzer in PA or WI.  The national D tilt of VA by this point brings it home for Schweitzer in the end.

Probably one of my least favorite Republican tickets imaginable.

Not sure on Klobuchar, but with Schweitzer as presidential nominee and the Jindal/McCrory opposition, I would be fanatically loyal to the Democratic ticket.

She's pretty abysmal on civil liberties (sponsored PIPA, etc.).

Schweitzer, but I think he'd pick Gillibrand over Klobuchar if he won the nomination.

Everything. Voted for the 'Protect America Act of 2007' which drastically eroded FISA, co-sponsored PIPA, backed the Commercial Felony Streaming Act (which would mostly ban YouTube), and then had the nerve during the Kagan hearings to say that we're not losing freedom.

Neither, I'd vote for Rand Paul or Gary Johnson.

Would make a lot more sense. Klobuchar would ruin his "soft-Libertarian" advantage. I cant imagine why he would pick her.

There's just a sort of irony for her to claim that we're not losing freedom when A.) we are, and B.) she's helped with a lot of it.

Jindal's brand of social conservatism will doom him in the general.

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Yeah. I could see Schweitzer/Gillibrand--or Gillibrand/Schweitzer, for that matter, though I don't see Schweitzer as 'running mate material'--generating a fair bit of excitement, especially among the netroots-but-not-MoveOn types (like a lot of people on this site). Schweitzer/Klobuchar, considerably less so.

None of these people are very Presidential.  I hope someone better emerges.
