What exactly do they talk about in these types of meetings - obviously, historical precedent says the loser basically disappears during the winner's presidency so I dunno if they'd really delve into the "let's work together" bullsh**t (especially when Romney has about as much influence in the federal government as you or me). Do they just make small talk and reminisce about the campaign?

I mean it'd be kind of embarrassing if Obama said in his speech on Election night that they'd meet and they never met...

Obama wants to be on Mount Rushmore. He'll do whatever it takes to look like a great leader, even if it means working with Romney over some non-issue.

It'd be hilarious if Mitt Romney became Secretary of something.

Better yet. With Patrick retiring in 2014, Romney will run as a liberal Democrat.

Well, Mitt has been, by all accounts, a liberal Republican, a moderate Republican, somewhat of an independent, a conservative Republican, a severe conservative, so why not a liberal Democrat as his newest embodiment?

My guess is they'll sit down and try to discuss current events, nearly break out into a fist fight when Obama gloats about how his margin of victory, and then reconcile over some of those delicious Chili's baby back ribs.

"Mitt, you ran a great campaign and you should be proud.  But, come to think of it, those 47% of Americans would have never voted for me."

Sorry, couldn't resist.

This is extremely funny because Romney's political opponents almost always wind up hating him and Obama is reportedly not an exception.

They both Just NEED more press coverage don't they? Both are disgusting narcissists. Of course, Obama is President so he gets all the attention he needs or wants, but w/e.

The state of the American political system disgusts me.

What exactly do you think Mitt should be tasked with?  Head a commission to end offshore banking?  Find a way to make clean coal affordable?

I'm not quite sure what President Obama is hoping to accomplish by working with Mitt Romney.  It is not as if Romney has any leverage with the GOP.
