South Texas Hispanic politicians are generally a mediocre lot: parochial at best and corrupt at worst. Solomon Ortiz, Eddie Lucio, Terry Canales...we could go on. If you want a Hispanic Democratic FF politician, look in San Antonio or El Paso.
